Outfit: Mocha

I guess these boots would be best described as some kind of “greige” colour, but don’t you just absolutely hate that word? I’d rather go for “mocha”, which reminds me of sweet delicious things like icecream and coffee. They are the replacements of my trusty old grey boots, and so far they’ve been living up to all my expectations. They’re elegant, with a good fit and a nicely shaped heel, and I’ve enough walking in them the past few days to say that they are both comfortable and pretty toasty for my little toes. You can tell that they are not real leather, but for about 50 euros, who’s complaining?

I actually thought I’d gotten rid of this dress, so I was quite surprised to discover it in my wardrobe yesterday. It’s like getting a new dress! Double win! I hadn’t worn it very often because I felt it wasn’t entirely flattering on my figure, but it seems to “hang” better now that I’m a couple of kilos lighter. That’s what three weeks of the flu will do to you, I guess.

The boyfriend and I met some friends for drinks and dinner on Sunday afternoon, and I seized the opportunity to take full advantage of the change in backdrop. I’ve been so sick of taking my outfit photos in front on garages and brick walls, but the weather has been keeping me inside most of the times. I’m wishing for more sunny (albeit chilly) days like Sunday.

Unfortunately the boyfriend isn’t too keen on taking my pictures. Since he usually wants to get it over and done with as soon as possible, which often leaves me with only two or three usable photos, I keep bossing him around and telling him where to stand and which angle to choose. Obviously this makes him like his photography duties even less. After the photos I immediately bundled up again for the rest of our walk. And just like that, it was time for work and classes again. Too bad we can’t have 5 day-weekends…
