You guys, we had like ten whole centimeters of snow last weekend! And that was definitely ten centimeters too much. I can’t tell you how glad I am that it finally started thawing and that I don’t have too bundle up like crazy every time I (reluctantly) go out. I’m so bad with cold, you can’t imagine. After more than a week of living in jeans and boots, I really started to feel like a slob. The cold really got to me this time, especially since Winter decided to kill my trusty grey boots.

It happened last week, when I was riding my bicycle and I had to brake and take a turn at the same time. Unfortunately, the icy bike path did not agree and I fell. I actually hurt my foot bad enough that I had to wear flat boots for a couple of days, because my foot was so swollen and sore, and the heel of my boot just broke right off. Since I’ve had them for years and years, and I didn’t believe they were going to make it through another winter anyway, I decided against having them repared and decided to find a replacement. That said, I was so happy when I could finally wear heels again last Saturday. And a dress! It was almost like a party, I was so happy!

We had a gorgeous sunny day on Sunday, but ever since it’s been raining non-stop. I can’t say that I mind too much though, as I spend most of my day indoors. At the very least, it makes my commute to and from work a bit easier.

  1. Oh no, hope you’re feeling better after your fall. I hate going out in the snow, period! Pretty to look at, but I hate when it’s all slushy or icy. Absolutely love those boots, they are fabulous.
